just take the cartridge out and weld the sunroof in place,

or find a e36 m3 without a sunroof (it was a no cost option for tall people)

But propr'one.. that stock sunroof panel is a good 6LB. This CF panel is only $140USD and is only 4LB. That's 2LB weight savings!!

Personally I like keeping that cartridge right where it is. I've seen e36 rollovers where the roof collapsed, and others where all that extra metal in that cartridge helped keep the roof (somewhat) strong... enough that the driver may have survived.

^^ Justin don't forget about the $150 flat fee shipping charges... So $300 US you are taking off 2 pounds. For that kind of cash you are better off taking the cassette out and welding a peice ther. But CF roof that's nice

tell your girlfriend to take bus to save more

j/k however, my ac doesn't work and i'm removing my ac that's save at least 40 pounds for front end.

my suggestion is, if you ain't going to race then change your front seats, ligher wheel and remove ac!!

These aren't legal for racing in most classes anyway. The sunroof panel needs to be made of the same material as the rest of the roof.
