Now instead of kindly admitting that OK, maybe the bumper was in fact one of the 'few' ones produced which had a SHITTY quality, he just goes about, backin himself up, and getting all his friends who get the kit off him, to say good things!

I'm sure he spends JUST as much time making his buddies bumpers as he does with someone he doesn't even know!!

Again, like i said, not tryin to be a dik or anything, but no one is perfect, why does FIL have to be!

And i don't care to much, cause i mean i don't even have the bumper anymore, it has been sold probably for what its actually worth, and its gone, i'll make the sacrifice, stick it out a bit longer, and save money for an OEM quality product, but the thing is, i know how felix feels, and i wanted to back him up with facts, so people on max don't think hes an assshole who just likes to complain!
First of all, i never claimed to be perfect, no one is
But all the parts that come off the same mold WILL be the same as far as fit! The only problem that might occur is a wrincle in the gelcot or an air buble, in which case GET fixed as soon as i notice them, if i dont and the customer finds it, i fix it for free. If you knew anything about fiberglass you would know that even if i wanted to spend 10 times longer making a piece for MY friends, that would NOT change anything! They come from the same mold, how can they be different????

The ONLY way you can get very BAD quality is if you mass produce. Most companys made multiple parts from the same mold in one day; when you take the part out too soon it will distort (a lot!). This i why i keep the parts in the molds at LEAST till the NEXT day! No exception. Even when someone is in a rush, i never go against that, because it seriously affect the quality.

So you're telling that when I'm around GTA , all I have to do is go see you and watch you fix my bumper for free? (things that were there when I came to pick it up after a 5h drive from MTL, and anyway it would've taken you another week )

should have went to a proffesional...
Thats what I did and they couldn't fit it properly... I went to a over 30 years experience body shop, don't tell me that you've been in for that long.

I didnt design the M-tech kit, they are hard to fit but you were aware of that in the first place! Dont tell me a bodyshop cant fit a bumper on! Its the same replica as this one...

You never told me it was hard to fit. What YOU said sounded more like :" All you have to do is slide it over the original one". As for the bumper it is too wide, even with the extra material...

And bubbles came out, and there is a row of / / / / / / / marks like those on the lip. Looks like it was scraped off

If I could get a hold on a digicam I'd show you what I mean.

I did say that, even showed you that it has to stretch over the rebar, but that is nornal. As for the being too wide, i didnt design the kit! I noticed it and thats whey there is extra material left, you would get the same thing if you get it somewhere else, but you will pay $600 instead of $400.

Going the cheap way in this case means you have less of a gap to fill!!! Like i told you, the $600 "original" had a big gap, but i noticed it, told you about it, and left a lot of extra material so it can be fitted right. Sorry if that was not enaugh for you.

as far as the paper thin material goes, i ran over my own eurostyle made iS lip, and almost no damage whatsoever! IF thats paper thin, then i can imagine the strenght of the "thick " ones

BINGO!

This was the exact impression i was given and told, that its a quick 10 min job, and that job turned into a complete waste of time!!

Its nice to see how more and more people are finally coming forward and stating the facts!
