Nice grab, even though I hate ti's.. its black and I trust your taste when it comes to mods.
Ti's are love/hate, I know a lot of people are completely repulsed by them.

All I want to do for now is move my old HID setup in and throw on the Contours. I'm trying my best not to slam it but you all know how that goes.

So yesterday afternoon on my way home, I took the route that winds me through the Morningside Automall (which is about 1 minute from my house). Just as I was bending into one of the corners, something catches my eye at the Suzuki lot. A Jet Black 318Ti Sport, with the full M-Technik bodywork and all. Having a soft spot for the car since the day it came out in 1994 (kind of like my M3...), I swerved in the driveway.

1996, 220k, 5-speed, full M-Technik cloth/'ette sport interior, M-Technik front and rear bumpers, M mouldings, BLACK HEADLINER, sunroof, heated seats, premium sound...it's more optioned than my M3. Also comes with the stock 5-spokes on Michelins as well as a full winter wheel/tire setup that I haven't even seen yet. A touch of rust at each rear 1/4, but I really don't care for what I paid (probably get it repaired anyways though).

Sales manager walked out, saw the M3, threw me the keys and said have fun. Went for a nice drive, love this damn car. Left after the drive planning to mull it over on the weekend, then found myself back at the dealer a couple hours later and signed the paperwork. I was planning to buy a 4cyl winter beater anyways, and I swore it wouldn't be a BMW...ah well.

It'll be at Bimmersport for the next couple weeks since Raisa and I are taking off for Jamaica soon. I'll also put my set of polished lip Contours on it when I get back, both sets of wheels will be up FS.

Do I have maXbimmer approval on this impulse buy?

Honestly, that's the only way to enjoy life! I impulse bought all 3 of the cars I've owned [Nissan 240SX, Nissan SER SpecV; and now 03 BMW 330Ci (modded)] and my condo. Each one bought basically same day. Luckily I have a good head on my shoulders. No regrets! Congrats man, nice ride.

Oh ya that's true, and my rental was running out.

I think since this car is going to be a 'beater/daily' instead of dropping it do a nice custom install or something. Just don't tell or show anyone.

E30 for life he said. Then he jumped on a E36 M3.

The M3 will be my winter beater, nothing more he said.

Shortly after it became his main squeeze.

I'm getting another winter beater he said. Definitely not a BMW, no need for RWD he said.

Well... Look where you're at now.

Bahahahaha!

BTW... that laughter is me congratulating you on your purchase. You are now a Wheel whore as well as a BMW whore.

you bought 3 cars and a condo within a day? Or each thing the day that you saw it you bought it lol...big difference.

...black headliner; interesting. Impulse buys are great... whenever you get to say "**** it i'll buy it" or "**** it I'll take two" you usually feel pretty baller, and it makes for an interesting story for you to tell to your friends.

lol, well ballers aren't pushing 1996 base model BMWs. I'm just a poor bastard who falls for rare cars and shouldn't be trusted with hanging money.

Thanks. A Spec-V was one of the cars on my short list for a winter beater, but then I decided I can't have a car that tempting to mod.

Then I did this...

Nah...the factory premium sound in the Ti is actually pretty good. Sounds a lot like the E30 version, instead of the horrible E36 system.

Oh yeah, and it has the factory 6-disc changer in the trunk. Old school ballllinnnnn
