OBD Reader

Hi guys,
What OBD reader do you recommend? I have a 2012 X1 and think it would deb great to have one for when things do come up. Where is a good place to buy one?

If you want something basic and universal get the ELM.
If you want something that is made for BMW with many more options, get Carly
