no start problem

so i was messing with the break lights on my 98 328is before a safety inspection, while replacing the bulbs I noticed that the 3rd break light was not working, in order to fix it, I for some reason I thought i could take a wire and run it from the right break light socket to the 3rd break light socket and that somehow would temporarily fix it, it didn't really do anything or so i though, until later i noticed that the break lights that were working before aren't lighting up anymore, then i check the dash a noticed the gauges (fuel, temp..) are not working while the car was still running, I decided to turn it off and back on again except now it doesn't start. first key turn doesn't do anything, next turn only some dash lights light up (check engine, abs) but not all (no srs airbag, no temp and fuel gauges) and the climate control works. when attempting to start absolutely nothing happens. i don't know what is going on

i checked all the fuses with a tester and all are good

Instrument cluster and brake lights share the same fuse. It has to be bad.

if you're talking about fuse 46, it's seems to be fine, replaced it many times and even double checked with a meter, this was my initial thought but it wasn't it, the instrument cluster lights up with some warning lamps but not all, like the check engine lights up but not SRS airbag which did before, and recently the fuel gauge started to max out when I flip the second switch, the temp still does nothing
