I'd priced out some 14" tires at Costco last year before I bought the two sets, and a full set of Pirellis (I forgot the model) would have run me around $95 a tire, after taxes, well north of $400 the full set.

The PS2 comment...good point, but I too search for those deals. In fact - I just picked up a set today $150 for two in decent condition... get this..295 30 18!!! To feed to the M5...

Sadly, as I drove home with those in the back seat of the wagon, the brake light came on... So my soft pedal is more than just soft.... I haven't even looked for the leak yet...

This is all my wife's fault!!! Actually, I'm kinda glad i found a weak spot in the brake lines. I've already made a rust repair last year....

ughhhhh.... the leak is in possibly the most inaccesible part of the car... Over the diff.

I'm going to run a new line behind the fender liner. The original brake lines appear there too so I can tap into it fairly easily....

I wish I could buy a full set of tires brand new for under $400 for any of my vehicles.

A lot of those "ON SALE" tires are actually old stock (very OLD!). My friend picked up some snows on sale from Canadian Tire, great price...but 6 years old.
