Whats the name of the shop? I don't have Facebook and can't load the page without logging in.

If it's not too late, I've had success with Down Town BMW.

I'm with the many others on this thread. RMP has treated me great every time I've been there with my car. Really great service, and you can trust the guys there.

Does anyone know a good AC shop near Toronto? My e30 was converted a number of years ago to R134 and hasn?t blown cold in about 2 years.

Can anyone recommend a custom exhaust shop that does good work and reasonably priced? Preferred in york region or north of there.

Have been wanting to do the full exhaust for a while. Now have to do it. Midsection cracked in half past the mid box.

Hello

I am brand new here.
I just got a 2013 M5.
Besides feeling like I am learning how to drive all over again (this car is positively otherworldly compared to my 528)....I am in love! I eat, sleep and breathe this M5.
Can anyone please recommend a top notch guy who can service my car in Cambridge or Kitchener?
I am not sure if this car should be seen by the dealer or if it should go to a, "specialist", for lack of a better term.
I have been told different things from diffetent people.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Welcome and congrats on the beast! Definitely take it to a BMW specialist, don't take these cars to hole in the wall mechanics.

The local/regional subforum might have more info for you and hopefully some locals members chime in with suggestions.

Thank you for the response.

I am kind of afraid to take it anywhere...a woman pulls up to a mechanic shop and opens her wallet....

I have had great experiences with mechanics (actually the car has, not me personally) but I do not know who to take this, "beast" to

I will find the regional forum you directed me to and inquire there

If all else fails, I have buddies with Porsches and I'm sure they can find me a real good M5 guy.

Cheers and thank you again

I only trust my dealership. Endras in Ajax. I know I pay prime by going to the dealership, but I just feel more comfortable. Now that I've seen this thread, it'll be nice to be able to Price out servicing in other BMW trusted shops.
That being said, I have had to replace my runflat tires, and I did go to a shop that I've used for ALL my cars. Great pricing (never found anyone that's beats them), quick service and great guys!!
Second Time Around. Don't be confused by the name, I've always ordered new tires from them.
More specifically, the location on Progress in Scarborough off of Kennedy Rd.

Hi everyone hoping this is the most appropriate thread to post my question.

I got this report back from the dealership and after a recommendation from a good friend and confirmation by many in this thread I am taking my car on Monday to RPM motors in Etobicoke.

Question I have is this is the report I got from the dealership that my clutch needs replacing I am curious if I should drive it there or get a tow? I spoke to CAA they said at minimum it will take 1.5 hours (for a flat bed). I am afraid of ruining the fly wheel.

Should I just drive it or wait for the flat bed?

Here's the report feel free to comment.

2014 328i 6MT. I noticed the car slipping when shifting from 2nd to 3rd.

| 1. COMPLAINT : REPORT ON DRIVETRAIN MALFUNCTION WARNING LIGHT ON

| CUSTOMER STATE CAR FEEL ENGINE MISFIRE AND ROUGH SHIFTING

| INITIAL DIAGNOSIS AT $164.00 + TAX

| 2. CAUSE : CLUTCH WORN

| 3. CORRECTION: CHARGER SHORT TEST TEST PLAN VEHILCE HAS ONLY 2 FAULTS IN

| DME BOTH ARE FOR CLUTCH SLIPPAGE AND ONE FOR TORQUE MONITORI

| NG FOLLOWED TEST PLAN AND HAVE TO REPLACE CLUTCH DUE TO TEST

| ER ADVISING SEVERLY WORN

Thank you in advance.

As long as you feel you won’t get stuck, drive it. Clutch will be replaced anyway.
If you have CAA, and the tow is free, then use it...
