M3 windshield replacement

Hey everyone

So ive been enjoying my M3 for over 5 yrs now with relatively little repairs minus the usual oil change, brake flush etc.

Last night i got a stone chip on my windshield which left a nice crack that put the end to my fun The dealer cost to replace w labor is $2000(absurd) which i could go through insurance but my deductible is $1000 so i would have to pay half. The //M uses St Gobain Sekurit, i got a good auto glass place that can put the sekurit for $500 w labor but without the bmw logo....essentially the same glass no?

Has anyone put aftermarket glass(sekurit or pilkington) on the //M is it the same as the original or does sekurit make better glass for BMW? Also if anyone can recommend a good glass place in the GTA.

Thanks alot for your knowledge

I need to replace my E38 windshield too. No rain sensor thank god, but I do want the heated wiper section. Sounds like Autoworx posted in the linked thread is the place to go?
