engine swap

I have 525i model 91 E34 M 50 enging 2.5

I want to swap the engine..

so which is the best for power



E 36
or
E 39

or try the Z3 engine

and what else I have to change ,, like ECu and ???

first of all why do you want to swap engines.
do you want to go with bigger displacement or just the same motor; direct replacement.

cause it doesn;'t matter what car its out of if you get an M52
