E30 325i Turbo Installation

Does anyone know about putting a turbo in an e30 325i. Zimmie just gave me a turbo which is in perfect shape from an audi, not sure what model, but just wondering i guess thoughts, ideas and opinions on getting one put in.

its and audi k24 turbo for sure its a good turbo man
try to get the waste gate also from the audi 5000 great waste gate !

There is a basic writup about turbos on my site.. its honda related but who cares. All the same.

Then "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell - get amazon.com

Your going to need to think about.

1.) Manifold + Turbo Mounting
2.) A motor build.. etc.. you should understand more after reading Maximum Boost
3.) Tubing around everything to Intercooler etc.
4.) Replacing whatever ECU you have.. L-Jet just can't have boost and Motronic doesn't seem to deal with it well. A decent programmable ECU with remove your AFM and replace it with a MAP sensor which will free up some horsepower also.
5.) A bunch of misc fittings you'll need.
6.) Perhaps an oil cooler + oil/air separator.
7.) Now Fuel.. can you get enough of it.. your engine management should be able to be programmed with larger injectors.. the fuel pressure should be OK.
8.) You now need an LSD because 1 wheel lights up all the time.
9.) You now need a new clutch cause you fried it lauching with boost :-)
10.) You broke the driveshaft coupling ..

you get the idea.. hah . its on going..
