I got a careless charge for taking out a farmers fence, called ex-copper and it was reduced to an improper left had turn, I did not have to go to court and to top it off I was turning right cost was about 300 but well worth it. The farmer and I are now friends and it turns out that he and Neil Young grew up together
the house in Omemee that is now a Rock Museum was where The farmer grew up. I now want to see if I can get them back together again...get a concert in the back yard!

Do you mean any paralegal but(Except) x-copper or any paralegal, but x copper...?

Charge is careless. I've already talked to a paralegal, They charged me $650 flat rate. Starting to feel like I got ripped off.

anything except x-copper .. many people i know that got basic speeding tickets .. x-copper couldnt get them off and gave them only a reduction on there ticket. That's garbage compared to some paralegals that end up getting you off completely (almost the same price as the ticket if not more but at least insurance doesnt go up so your savings are there)

Okay, that fits with a lot of reviews I've read online. I have no intention of receiving a lesser change. I will be fighting this tooth and nail.

Pointts gave me an initlal quote of $800. so I guess $650 isn't too bad.

Are there any good ones?

I already have a 7 page document prepared to defend myself. The paralegal is mostly just to assist me with the obscure bits of the court procedure i am unfamiliar with as this is my first rodeo. I will be attending court with the paralegal.

Any paralegal is good but those ones that advertise that say they use to be cops are all garbage. They only get you reduced sentences .. its like they don't even try.

Depending on the serverity you probably wont even need to show up to court (I never did .. hence the reason to get a paralegal) you wont have to wait in line to get a court date or any of that .. also reason why its worth the money. You can explain your case to them and they will go by the book on everything the policemen should have done plus anything you told them.

I used "Any Traffic Tickets" and they suck. I told him to delay the process as long as possible and he went to the first available meeting with the prosecution and settled for a slightly lower charge.

What a waste of money, I could have done that.

I wouldn't say all, I know a family friend that used to be a cop and is now retired and doing paralegal stuff, he's gotten a few people I know off completely, if you don't have a case then a reduction is pretty standard.

lol .. well im completely off 7 tickets. They need to do everything by the book .. if the paralegal is good then he will go through everything to make sure they didnt make one single mistake. If you ever been to court you will see that all the lawyers go up first and ask for it to be dropped or reduced and then rarely will the judge say no and see it go to trial

This is probably useless to OP, but I used a guy from Barrie once a couple years ago when I got burned by the aircraft patrol on the 400 coming home from the cottage. I can't remember his company's name atm, but his name is Randy Porter. Cost me $500 with a guarantee of my money back if he didn't get it withdrawn. It was a $400 ticket and I didn't care about a reduction because either way it would have been a minor conviction (ie, same impact on insurance). Anyway he got it tossed, so money well spent. A few months later I was at a gathering and an acquaintance was telling a story about getting some heavy-duty tickets on his bike - turned out the same guy got his all thrown out too. Supposedly he's well-known (and loved) by the GTAmotorcycle crowd. When I called about my ticket, his secretary was pretty much just like, "yeah, he can get rid of that for ya." Badass.

I hired a local paralegal. Hopefully they are not shit as I will be entirely ****ed if this ticket sticks.

Submitted the ticket to get a court date. Just waiting now. Apparently 2 - 6 months before I even get a notice of trial.

i got a careless aswell for doing a wheelie on my motorcycle years ago.. i had a good case to get it dropped due to the road being closed to traffic therefor did fit the parameters of the fine but anyways the guy didnt even try and fight it ..got it reduced and i paid a smaller fine.. i could have done better im sure because i would have fought it . i have had a few court dates due to my motorcycle and have fought every one and all have been reduced or dropped and i represented myself.. in court i noticed 100% that went before me were reduced or dropped not 1 fine was levied as written. so anyone that just pays a ticket is an idiot..FIGHT THEM..
