If you take off the BMW badges this model looks a lot like an Hyundi. Not a real fan of all the lines sticking out looks to busy for me "less is more"

I saw the car today at the show and it looks great. Below are my shitty cell phone pictures...

The car is big. They have a white 6 series parked in front of this display and they look the same size. Most people thought that the 4 series was the replacement for the 6 series.

In my opinion the car to see at the BMW display was the M6. It looks awsome in person. I have no idea why anyone would by a M5. I think it is the first and only 4 door "coupe" that can compete in appearance with the MB CLS.

Sorry I didn't get pictures.

On the above photos......From the middle of the front hood, I think I can count about 7 lines all the way across and down to the side skirt, way to many lines. Plus 7 more lines on the other side of the car. This car should be called the
(4 LL. ) Series. or 4 Lots Lines

I think the shape of the car is real nice..but those front and rear bumpers have to go. Way too aggressive.

The front bumper and tiburon side-vent ruin what is otherwise a nice-if-huge coupe... But nobody has mentioned how awful those wheels are! Chrome 'em up and they belong on a ghetto-fabulous Escalade!

I also don't understand splitting up the 3 series... Legitimate question in an otherwise somewhat bitter post: Can somebody explain the marketing-think here? What is the benefit of having so many different largely identical model lines? Doesn't it dillute the brand? The 3-series was already established at the top of its class in reputation...

If you go back three decades the BMW exterior designs were changing on all new models at a tasteful rate but starting in 2006 the look turned KIA and Hyundai.....the newest model Is totally over the top (for my taste very ugly look) mirrors, rims, hood, bumpers, door lines, hood and even the shape of the windows look goofy. What happened to nice clean exterior , supper handling and great power under the hood, maybe BMW are only interested in 2 out of 3 characteristics of their cars.

Saw that car in person at the Detroit Autoshow, it is actually quite an attractive car. The mirrors and door handles aer "iffy" but otherwise has some nice lines...

Kia Optima looks better, if only it came in a 2 door.

When you see the car and where other manufacturers are taking their cars, the old E90looks boxy and dated. The new 4 will have some changes before coming to market, but over-all an improvement, IMO.
The 4 carries a lot of lines from the tauted pininfarina coupe, which is beautiful.

All their cars are getting bigger and heavier. I guess thats why I still stick with the E36.

I wish they would make a real M car again. Lightweight and powerful....But they keep on putting powerful engines in bigger heavier cars...

I think it looks great.

That's the thing about looks - entirely subjective
