Well I’ll tell you what, I’m jealous of the leather you have as opposed to mine. I find BMW leather more rugged and better constructed, better all around feel and quality. Real leather!

I can't comment on the leather of a Porche, but I am very lucky that my car came with the Heritage Leather which is much thicker and softer feeling. The leatherique stuff really makes it feel even better too.

996's had an inferior interior, cost cutting to stay afloat. 997's have much better interiors.

I agree, the 997's have an amazing interior setup, although with the 996, you can upgrade almost anything to do with the interior. I already started and it's an addiction! Sport shifter, aluminum Porsche handbrake, painted cobalt blue center console. Porsche racing pedals, Custom mats with the blue S and so on.... Doesn't stop. On the flip side, they made the 997 less purist. It's not as raw as the 996. Softer suspension, smoother engine, more comfort options, basically prettier. For example, I like my 4S better than the 997 4S (Exterior).

Thanks! I got them painted at bumperplugs.com. I highly recommend Eric's professionalism. He does unique work on all sorts of cars! Turnaround time is very quick as well.

Hi Guys,
Just a heads up, I will be putting my car up for sale in the spring. I didn't put it on the market or anything as of yet, and you guys here on the forum are the first to know...
I'm looking at buying another car from the states as the dollar is pretty good lately. I'm thinking of buying a 07-08 Aston Martin Vantage V8, and once again hand picked with an exotic/rare package.
Please feel free to PM if you or anyone else you know is interested in my current 2003 Porsche C4S. It is in mint shape and it is currently stored. I am very picky with my cars so everything is in check, clean Carfax, all documented history to the T. I've invested a lot in this car as well in terms of making it immaculate and have put on some expensive yet tasteful oem mods.
Please research the price for yourself before making an offer. I am flexible on the price as well especially when the time is right and I have found the Aston that I want.
Thanks,
Alin

That's a ferrari with ferrari parts and mainenance costs.
I have a friend, a mechanic for exotics, I asked "Would you ever buy a ferrari?"
"No, I would have to work on it"
Pretty well sums it up.

Ummmm, if you could afford to buy the Ferrari in the first place, I am sure you wouldn't give a rats ass about the maintenance costs unless it was the absolute cheapest Ferrari (348GTB??) and you bought it with a loan.

So True....I'm just jealous because I bitch about the maintenance costs for my own cars!
The car I really want is the MZ coupe with S54 motor...
Even after all these years, I keep thinkng about it...
Seeing the FF at the Detroit show made me realize what a beautiful car it was/is...

I have a friend who's a better mechanic, who owns a ferrari and loves working on it. Your mechanic sounds like a hack.

It was meant more "tongue in cheek", but I appreciate the visceral, ignorant response....
