A year old thread but still relevant, I bought my summer tires for my chev last month and they were all in the 45th week of 08 which is great, except for 1 which was the 15th week of 07......I called the manufacterer (General Tire) and they said they can't send someone into the warehouse searching for something that matches......and it doesn't pose a safety risk if they are made a year apart....which I agree with. As long as I'm not riding on something more than 3 years old I'm good.

you can tell the age, it is usually written on the tire for example they use the week instead of the month so it would be something like 24 12 meaning the 24 week of the year and 2012 would be for the year , hope this helps
