Nothing wrong with opinions.
Its just funny how they are all the same around here, and anyone who tries anything different just gets slammed.

That's because usually "different" = "idiotic". Sorry, but purposly rusting a hood for "looks" is 100% retard mentality. I could just barely see it on a rat rod, or an old junker, but a prestine looking paint job paired with rusted parts?

That's the thing - there's nothing really different about this car. It's something of a hodgepodge of all the worst fads. A clusterf@ck, if you will....

Not sure why you quoted me there. I agree with you about the rusted hood. But I do think it works great on a rat rod. I have seen some pretty good examples.

By different I was referring to anything other then the stock M kit with a roof rack, which seems to be the only thing people don’t criticize.
I don’t see how this is a hodgepodge of all the worst fads. Which fads are you referring to? Its not like the wheels sit 4” outside the fenders.

Exactly, it would be perfect! BMW did it right from the start, especially in europe. Aside from suspension and engine mods theres not too much else you can do with these cars that will improve on looks/performance without looking rice.
If you want it to be unique find some OEM rarities like motorized headlight adjusters, under hood light, rear fogs, CD43 etc. That IS the cool stuff!

I was referring to:
-the roof rack that probably only carries random useless shit
-rusted hood (taken one step farther here with superfluous bra)
-angel eyes, with some Frenched highs thrown in for good measure (I actually like French highs, but not behind AEs)
-fluorescent wheels in a colour that doesn't complement the car.
-eyebrows
Most of the time you see shit like that on beat-to-shit cars and it's done tongue-in-cheek. Seems like a shame to do it to such a clean looking car.

I like it. I would do some things differently but then that's kind of the point, right? Its trendy I guess but I think you only know these things are trends if you are a dork who spends a disproportionate amount of time reading online car forums, so, shame on who, exactly?
You guys are too uptight.

OM something but I might upgrade to Ractive or Sparco now that it's available at Canadian Tire. Can't get enough of the Ractive stuff

Wow didn't even notice the rusted hood from that pic... ugh.
Nice pic though

I don't like cars with Angel eyes that didn't have them from the factory.. they just don't seem to fit IMO especially on older cars like the E36.
