the 5 spd is stronger and a lot of people ditch the 6 speed for it...

but depends on what you want.

baller = go with diffs online lol

don't know how much bigger the s54 is, or how much less room you have in the engine bay, but would there be enough room in there to boost it? if

With enough money, anything is possible, I don't see why it couldn't be done. Worst case if an off the shelf turbo manifold isn't available, one can be custom made. Superchargers shouldn't be a problem fitting.

I'm sure it can work, just may require a bit of custom work as you probably won't find a complete bolt-on kit (yet, unless there is one already out there).

Boosting it shouldn't be an issue. I'd rather go turbo though if I were to boost it. Do a nice bottom mount comp turbo setup or wait and see what Radowski can do with his stock dme e46 m3 turbo. Customizing things like piping and stuff isn't really an issue, its more the electronics and there is yet to be a true stock dme tuned turbo s54 out there that I've seen. I'm not a fan of standalone EMS. I think the S54 is only taller since is has a larger deck height than the s52 to accommodate the stroke.

but i wonder how much different the space is between an e36 and e46 engine bay, if you could use a prefabbed exhaust manifold that would fit, i would be so tempted to pull the trigger. can you imagine if steve's car was turbo'd, like the car is perfect the way it sits, but just imagine if it was boosted with a bulletproof setup

It's super tight with a s54+e36 chassis...i say it can go 50/50 when it comes to fitting the off-the-shelf manifolds(steedspeed). Might need a custom passenger motor mount arm to make more room on the passenger side for the manifold +turbo+piping.

In the e36 if one wanted boost would of been better to just stay with s52/m52+turbo but steve knows that

The steedspeed is pretty big. I'm thinking HPF's new manifold would be perfect.

HPF

vs.

Steedspeed

I had problems with the first euro cluster I bought. The coolant temp wasn't working properly so I had to use my original S52 one. My parents were in Europe and my dad ending up finding me a new one on the very last day of their trip! Its nice to see when the oil is up to temp so you can beat on it

is the temp gauge needle suppose to be a tad on the higher side?

I think it's just the angle of the shot. The temp runs like a needle width above the middle but when you look at it dead on its in the middle.
