Haha thanks guys, yeah partially due to the fact that I was moving a bunch of shit from my parents place to mine as they are moving next weekend, ahd a toolbox between the seats and couldn't properly reach the shifter.

Thanks for the suggestion on the cams, I will give them a shout!! THat's the only thing left now for the M52 I am now building.

Car is coming along but haven't touched it in the last two weeks as I have been sick and too busy with other stuff. Be wrenching all long weekend.
Current status:

M52:

Gonna teardown the M52 this weekend, pickup my S52 cams and get moving forward!!

Some updates.... Bought S52 cams from a fellow member on BFC who sent me busted ass cams which I have returned and gotten a refund for (minus the $ for shipping and customs) whatever, dunno if anyone knows Deadjudis but don't buy anything from him if you do!

Have the complete front of the car disassembled now and the M52 stripped. Head has been sent out for inspection as well as the NEW (to me) set of S52 cams I got from an HONEST local seller.

A 4th to 2nd.... that's interesting. Were you drag racing and redlining from 3rd into 4th?

How the heck did the valves hit the pistons? I guess the chain broke?

When money shifting valve float is often the killer.

This.

Basically the stock springs can't get the valves out of the way in time at that high an RPM.
