Just bought a 14 lb chromoly flywheel. Should help me get to 8200rpm a little quicker 3 more weeks and the real part begins!

I received the ltw flywheel today. I'm really pleased with the product so far but will have to do a review when its on the car. I picked it up from ebay and the seller was great in terms of shipping and transaction speed. Here are some pics of the unwrapping

I have a decent update for you guys!

I went to my buddy's shop to dyno the S52 before I pull it out (potentially help the sale of this thing too ) The only mod to this engine is m50 manifold (not tuned!) Considering the weather (~50% humidity) the engine made very good power.

I got home around 3 and started the real work. The hood release cable is such a pain in the ass.

I got most of the harness unplugged, ac lines disconnected etc... It should be coming out on Friday and the S54 will hopefully be in by Saturday or Sunday!

I wish the E30 front end came off just like this! It would make everything so easy.

Solid centered clutch disk? I have the same flywheel on my s52, perfect size.

Good to see the project coming along nicely.
Props for tackling the motor pull by yourself

yeah. The flywheel is perfect. I've read that the aluminum ones vibrate like crazy so I went with a chromoly one. Its not too light and not too heavy at 14lbs.

I went with a custom center disk from Eurodrive in Oakville, sprung hub. It's a good compromise as I didn't want to go solid flywheel and clutch.

That's how I found out about it. Mike told me you're running the whole F1 kit on the Ti.
