ii went to my mailbox today and there was a census envelope.right on the front of it "Complete the census-It"s the law". i remember hearing awhile back that the census was not mandatory?so i opened it up and it said that it had to be completed within 10 days and it was dated May 3,and it is now may 12.
i only check my mail once a week or so if i'm lucky,cause all that's ever in there is bills.
It is a federal crime to:
-Not fill out the census
-Intentionally lie on the census.
It is not a federal crime*:
-To fill out your cenus form drunk
-To fill out your cenus form while performing auto-erotic asphyxiation

Just fill out the short form, that's all that's mandatory. If you didn't fill it out in the 10 day period, someone will call you/come to your door and ask if you've done it or if you need help. When they do, if you tell them you've already submitted it, that will be the end of the conversation.
one would have to seek the legal advice of 5 constitutional lawyers on the matter vs the weight/worth of your privacy rights..and whether you'd have an argument against completing the census, if actually charged.
maybe someone should find out, as i know u.s arms corp Lockheed Martin is doing the census in the uk & canada
