The conservatives always win in hick town ridings because they think the Con's are all about good "family values" and the "working man" and many people in these areas have farms or come from families that worked farms or "worked hard" labour jobs.
They've been duped into voting Con's for ages because they think the other parties are "socialists." Its exactly the same thing that happens in the USA all the time.
Look at the layout, which areas votes Con's and which didn't. It's either the hick towns, or the areas with extremely wealthy individuals. Meanwhile, all the middle class votes for NDP and or liberal. Pretty hilarious isn't it?
Oh well, time will tell. Personally I don't really care. It's only when you get it shoved in your face that you will be able to see it.
