Lightbulb FS: Dinan "Cold Air Intake" & "High Flow Air Mass Meter" (E38 740i)

For sale are the following two Dinan performance parts:

A) Dinan CAI for 01/1997-98 e38 740i, as seen at: http://www.dinancars.com/store/produ...cat=443&page=1

Description: Dinan Cold Air Intake (Part # D760-0655 for 01/1997-98 740's)
The High Flow Cold Air Intake Systems replace the factory air box with a cylindrical performance filter and large (more like "huge" ) 4 inch diameter aluminum intake plumbing designed to minimize air turbulence and maximize efficiency. The filter is relocated to a separate compartment behind the front bumper and below the headlights in order to insulate it from engine compartment heat and maximize exposure to cool, oxygen rich air for maximum power gains.

Condition: Black aluminum tube has a couple of VERY minor marks (not visible once installed), resulting from the original installation, but otherwise looks perfect/like new.
Filter (Dinan part # D403-0410) is also very clean, but the rubber top cap of the filter is becoming brittle at the edge (cosmetic damage ~> see red circled area in 2nd pic), so personally (being the picky freak that I am) I would order a new one (only $50 at http://www.dinancars.com/store/produ...cat=443&page=2).
Missing is the Air Filter Sock (some don't use it) and it can be purchased for only $29 at: http://www.dinancars.com/store/produ...cat=443&page=2

Price: $260

Shipping: $40 (Incl. insurance & tracking) across N. America / International quote upon request / local Toronto pickup available

B) Dinan High Flow Air Mass Meter (MAF) for 1996-98 e38 740i, as seen at: http://www.dinancars.com/store/produ...cat=443&page=1

Description: Dinan High Flow Air Mass Meter (Part # D763-1440B for 1996-98 740's)
Dinan's High Flow Air Mass Meter for the 740 compliments the Cold Air Intake System on earlier production 740 models by further enhancing the intake tract for increased power and quicker throttle response. The Dinan Air Mass Meter Housing features a larger internal diameter and is manufactured from aluminum as compared to the smaller plastic stock unit. The Air Mass Meter is designed to accommodate the stock electronics and comes with all of the components necessary for a clean and simple installation.

Condition: 100% working condition (cosmetic condition = 9/10)

Bonus: This Dinan MAF housing includes an original BMW/BOSCH Mass Airflow sensor (see last pic), which Dinan never includes (New retail value = $300+).
This sensor usually lasts 80K and I'm unsure of the actual mileage on this one, so it's yours for FREE.
You can either keep it in the Dinan housing or swap it out for your current sensor from your stock MAF (they are identical).

Price: $260

Shipping: $30 (Incl. insurance & tracking) across N. America / International quote upon request / local Toronto pickup available

I prefer to sell these as a set (they connect together) at $500 + $45 (combined shipping), but will split them up, if I have separate buyers for both.

Contact: PM or e-mail me at whiteperlies@aol.com

PS: For your security, I possess 100% perfect feedback on ebay (400+ transactions), Bimmerforums, M5board and Maxbimmer.

Hey John,

Only have the CAI left.....MAF sold a long time ago...sorry.
Also, Dinan parts never ever cause check engine lights or emmision test failures.
If interested, please post/PM me your best offer for the Dinan CAI.

The Dinan CAI will fit w/ the stock configuration, w/out using the Dinan MAF.

In the short run, I'm sure the car will run w/ just the CAI (w/out Dinan software).
Though, over time, I would definetly look into proper software (check Dinan website for 20-30% off sales).
Sam at Cross Ave Auto in Oakville will be able to answer all your questions.
Another cheaper option might be to get software from fellow max member MarkD.
I've met him once and he certainly knows his stuff + has an excellent reputation across all the boards.
I will PM you w/ regard to your offer.
