removing e36m3 spoiler
hey im trying to remove my m3 spoiler off my e36 but i took the screws off all four but theres this 3m tape on it how do i remove it i dont wanna mess the trunk up mto bad

you can use a utility knife.. just be careful and mask around the areas that it's attached to..

Definitely don't use utility knife. Warm up the area with a heat gun (lowest setting) and then try to peel it off. After you are done, use Goo Gone to remove excess glue.

I can't believe some people made it this far in life without forgetting to breathe or something. The trick I've always used for debadging or removing adhesive on paint is taking a 12"-14" piece of fishing line, wrapping it nicely in your hand with work gloves on and saw it back and forth with the pressure going the opposite direction of your paint. (Which I'm hoping you're trying to preserve. Once the item is off, then heat gun it delicately and then use goof off to remove the remaining residue and adhesive. Then wax the shit out of the whole area a few times until its mint again.
My 2 cents. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, I just watch alot of house lately and I don't give a shit about peoples "feelings" anymore. Haha
