So Im thinking about doing the fan delete mod and upgrading to an electric fan and I was reading a post someone linked me to on bimmerforums.com

What the crap is 'watter wetter'??

It has been around for a long time. I use it in my track bike. (track rule)

When I used it in my street bike, the coolant turned brown after 1 year. I don't know if that changes how it works, but if I used it in my car, I would change it every year.

Is it necessary in the car though?

SHouldn't be necessary if you are getting an electric fan replacement.
