well, if you want to go back to the ghetto, a little bit of supper glue should hold. Other then that its something that should go right back into too place and stay

ya i was gonna use super glue, I just wanted to know if any others have had this problem and what they did to fix it. thanks for the help tho.

Go to the dealer and buy a new weatherstripping and run a small bead of transparent silicone on the slit prior to putting it in if it isn't a snug fit. Also, yeah why do you have a right hand drive car in ontario? Did you bring it over when you immigrated or something?

I had that problem with my E46 as well. The dealer wanted something like $400+ for the part. I just used some 3M spray adhesive and used tape to hold it up overnight so it could dry. Stayed up until I sold the car.

This is common with E46 coupes. I had to replace mine twice. The heat make them "split". So to fix them correctly, you would need to replace it...otherwise as others said, you can try putting some glue/silicone.
