*** 2011 maXbimmer Official Cruise Dates ***
Hey everyone,
With a new year comes new maXbimmer official events. As per popular request, for the first time we are announcing all of our dates at the beginning of the year. Now you can coordinate your holidays around what's really important: driving for hours just for the pleasure of it.
There are a few other changes in the quest to improve our events. First, the decision has been made to move some of the longer (mileage) events to Saturdays. This makes getting home after 9pm a more viable option for those who work early on Mondays. It also allows those busy on Sundays with family matters, etc to come out and enjoy the day with us. Second, we now have rain dates for most events. While we no doubt still had fun in the wet in the past, the dangers of slippery roads and a large convoy of powerful vehicles are too large to ignore. Plus, it's a lot more fun top down.
Anyways, enough talk. Here are the (tentative) dates for 2011 maXbimmer Official Events. Note that these are all subject to change!
Opening Cruise - Sat May 7 [Rain: Sat May 14]
Midnight Cruise I - Fri Jun 10 [Rain: Fri Jun 17]
Lakeshore Cruise - Sat Jul 16 [Rain: Sat Jul 23]
Bimmercruise - Sun Aug 21
Grand Finale Cruise - Sun Sep 18 [Rain or shine]
Thanks guys, see you then.

This means spring is just around the corner
will be there, or atleast try my best
Quick question: How long are the drives?

The midnight cruises are IIRC ~200km.
The open and end-of-season are ~500km. Essentially 6-9 hours.

Depends on the event. Opening Cruise is the longest at around 450km round trip, the rest start are ~150km and go up from there. As events are posted they will each have all of their respective details listed, including expected arrival time and mileage.
Worth noting that in general, the longer the cruise the better the roads and scenery are.
