I realize this thread was started a while ago but first of all I have to give a big thanks to sthomas . . . what he posted at the start of this thread works perfectly on my 94 318i which had the lowbeam drl's (this should work for all 93-95 e36's)

just thought i would contribute some picks to make it even easier for anyone wanting to be able to have the option of turning off their drl's

1. fuse box layout

2. Under the fuses showing the new wire (blue one) going through the firewall

3. Blue wire attached to the cut wire (the wire that leads to the number 8 connector of the relay plug)

4. Splicing into the light switch using a self stripping tap connector (the wire connected to pin 4

Seriously the hardest part about the whole process was unscrewing the fusebox . . . you'll need something like this to get at the two screws located close to the firewall
