This came into play around a month ago for bigger shops. They plug in their reader directly into your port when they do the test. Apparently this will read of your o2's and what not work correctly. They even have a dash cam as the test is in progress and a camera on the employee doing the test. This way when the mechanic signs in they can make sure it's only him or her doing the test.
