That looks more like a concept rendering, There are pictures of what looks like a very close to if not an actual production model in the flesh.

its been overplayed and it looks dreadful

That new front end under the cover may still look pretty good compared to the concept front end.
It would have been slick to bring the same lower front fascia theme back to the bottom of the rear fascia.
Perhaps that will be reserved for the ///M version.

Looking forward to the Detroit show in 6 weeks to see it exposed.
