Water under batt tray in trunk...
I drained the water from that plug under the car... When i removed the battery to dry the remaining water i noticed that there was a tube connected to the drain plug.. But where does this connect to?

It's supposed to be for that overflow port on the side of the battery.
Any idea where that water is coming from that stands under the batt tray?
Sunroof drain?? That looks like the battery vent hose
How can i check if it is the sunroof drain?
open your sunroof and pour some water down the back drain and see if it leaks into the battery tray. Could also be a leaky taillight gasket, or there is a grommet above the battery tray where your sidemarker light wire exits the car.
^^^ thanks.. Ill give it a try
Might be the flap vent from the trunk to inside the rear bumper, thats where the sunroof drain should be if it's connected properly. It could also be your trunk seal, mine leaks a bit into the battery area when I wash the car or park nose down in the driveway.

Sun roof drains is a black hose that goes into that vent behind the bumper
Thanks for all the info!
Im going to do some water tests this weekend after i fix my oil leak by the oil filter canister and the block. Very common on the m42 it seems |
Connect the battery vent too! Acid from an unvented battery will rust your shit faster than a puddle of water ever would...
So it turned out to be the gasket around the passenger side rear tail light. It wasn't seated properly.
Nice u silcone it?
