Help emergency. Asap

Does anyone in the mississauga area know how to fix a spinning key on a 97
E36? Its currently stuck on Ignition On. I pulled the fuel pump fuse to shut the engine off, and the key came out.
Any help or info will be generously rewarded.

The proper fix is replacing the ignition! It's a pain, but not much else you can do.

VERY common on late 95 (EWS) to 99 locks.

There is, but is it worth the trouble if you know it can (and will) happen again at the worst moment!? If you play with the key, it will 99.9% of the time work again, but once the problem starts, it will only happen more and more...

this used to happen to me in my 328, it would randomly spin one full revolution, and then work again , i guess this is fairly common
